Headshot and Portrait FAQ

A headshot is typically more closely cropped and created to show what the person looks like and get an idea of their vibe, usually simpler is better. A portrait shows more, not just in the photo, but about the person. It tells a story about the subject using things like lighting, expression, pose, location, props, and more.

I am available by appointment on Tuesday-Thursday from 10am-3pm. I am sometimes available other days, especially for larger shoots. email me if you need a different day or time and I can see what I can do eli@eliwarren.com

It depends a little on how busy my schedule is, but generally a week is plenty of time. I have clients that ask for next day shoots occasionally and I’m happy to make it work if at all possible. Never hurts to ask.

File turnaround is typically 10 days to a week from the time of proof selections, sometimes less. If you’re in a rush I’m happy to work with you to get files to you faster whenever possible. I also require invoices be paid before files are sent unless we’ve otherwise discussed it.

I keep your files backed up in a RAW format for one month after the shoot, I keep JPEG copies for one year.

After the shoot I’ll send you an invoice through Square that you can pay online with a credit or debit card. I also accept cash, venmo, cashapp, or paypal.

Yes, I do ask that bills are fully paid before final files are sent.

I do have a small late fee for bills paid past 7 days of the shoot.

If you’re having trouble paying and need more time just let me know and I’ll be happy to set you up with a payment plan.
